Things you should know
Keeping your skin clean is important to prevent acne developing. Wash the affected area twice a day with a mild soap or cleanser, but do not scrub the skin too hard to avoid irritating it. Although acne can’t be cured, it can be controlled with treatment. If your acne is severe it may need to be treated with antibiotics.
Lymecycline 408mg capsules works by inhibiting the growth of certain types of bacteria.

The medications available are suitable for patients with moderate to severe acne.
Side effects from taking antibiotics for acne are rare but may include diarrhoea, nausea and skin rashes.
Lymecycline is not suitable for everyone and some people should never use it. This medicine is not suitable for everyone for instance if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under the age of 12 you should take it. It is therefore important that you answer the consultation questions carefully.

Oxytetracycline 250mg tablets.

If there is no improvement after three months another oral antibacterial should be considered.
