If you need help to quit smoking, I can supply a prescription only medication called Champix® which can increase your chance of stopping smoking successfully. All you need to do is complete the online medical consultation and we’ll post your medication to you without the hassle of having to visit your GP.
Champix® Varenicline works by mimicking the effect of nicotine in the body and stimulates the same brain receptors as smoking. This reduces the urge to smoke and helps relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
Champix® Varenicline starter pack (11x 500 mcg tablets, 14 x 1mg tablets).
Where you have not used Champix® previously, you should start on a low dose and increase the dose as follows - one 500mcg tablet a day on days 1-3, and then two 500mcg tablets daily for four further days. For the rest of the treatment take one 1mg tablet twice a day, if you are able to tolerate this dose. Treatment with Champix® is usually recommended for three months.
Champix® stimulates the nicotine receptors in your brain to relieve the effects of withdrawal when you stop smoking. It blocks nicotine from acting on the nicotine receptors so that smoking no longer has an enjoyable feeling. Studies show taking Champix® more than doubles the rate of success in stopping smoking compared with dummy (placebo) tablets.
Side-effects from using Champix® can include nausea, headaches, unusual dreams, gas (wind), constipation and changes in the way food tastes. Rare side-effects from Champix® include depression and potentially suicidal thoughts.
Doctor Matt can supply you with a starter pack for the first two weeks and then one month packs to continue your treatment thereafter. If you want to stop smoking, taking Champix® is likely to more than double your chance of success.
