How to use Metformin for Diabetes
Metformin tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and taken with or after food, as this lowers the chance of getting an upset stomach. Diabetes tablets such as Metformin only regulate your blood sugar levels for the period in which you take them. This means that while Metformin will help you manage your condition, it cannot treat the underlying cause of your diabetes.
