Enalapril Tablets
Enalapril
What is Enalapril maleate and what it is used for
Enalapril is a drug that belongs to the group of ACE-inhibitors (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme). Enalapril ensures that the blood vessels are dilated, so that the blood pressure goes down and the pumping force of the heart improves, as well as the condition of the heart muscle. The drug is prescribed by a doctor if you experience high blood pressure, heart failure and kidney disease.
Dosage and administration Enalapril
It is important to take Enalapril daily with water on a set time. For example in the morning before or during breakfast, or in the evening before bedtime. The doctor has determined the right dose and has told you whether you need to swallow Enalapril 1 or 2 times a day. The label of the pharmacy shows the right dosage. If you forgot to take a tablet, skip it and take the next dose on the usual time. It takes 3 to 6 weeks before its working commences. You shall see that you will be less tired and tight. Also, your ankles will be thinner due to the moisture reduction. If Enalapril works well, you will probably need to use it for the rest of your life.
Watch out when using alcohol. It is possible that alcohol enhances the effect of Enalapril. Also be careful when driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or tired.
